Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is just 3.3 points behind JD Vance in a new national 2028 presidential poll, raising questions about the future direction of both parties as voters look for alternatives to establishment names.
A national survey by Quantus Insights has found Ohio Republican JD Vance narrowly leading New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a hypothetical 2028 presidential matchup, with 45.1 percent for Vance and 41.8 percent for Ocasio-Cortez. The poll, conducted August 26, 28 among 1,200 likely voters, suggests the next generation of political contenders may be gaining traction as voters look beyond familiar faces.
