(Dave DeCamp, Antiwar.com) CBS News reported on Thursday that Iran’s strikes on a US base in Jordan, which it launched overnight Tuesday into Wednesday in retaliation for the US attack on multiple Iranian oil tankers, damaged multiple US military aircraft.
Sources told the outlet that the heavy missile attack on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan struck an A-10 Thunderbolt, known as the “Warthog,” destroying one of its wings. Eight US F-15s were also hit, and sources told CBS they sustained “light damage” and were put back into service.
