MS Now, CNN and Politico plan to sue Trump to overturn those outlets’ ban from White House

MS Now, CNN and Politico are planning to file a lawsuit against President Donald Trump on Monday, which will ask a federal judge to overturn Trump’s ban on those three outlets from the White House. On Saturday, journalists from those outlets were prevented from entering the White House, CNBC reported. 
“This ban could not be a more direct assault on the First Amendment nor a more blatant violation of our most fundamental constitutional principles,” the lawsuit says, which goes on to claim the ban is severely impeding the three outlets from reporting on Trump and his administration. 
The lawsuit argues that presidents have long had adversarial relationships with reporters and haven’t always agreed with what the press is reporting, but the “Constitution protects the liberty and property interests that news organizations and White House reporters have in their press credentials and the access those credentials afford them to cover the White House for the benefit of the public.” 
No official, the lawsuit argues, can deprive the plaintiffs of those interests on a whim. 
Trump announced the ban in a Truth Social post on Friday, claiming the outlets are “writing fiction” and warned that “other fake news” outlets could face a ban. 
On Monday, Trump denied in a Truth Social post that the White House is violating the freedom of the press.
The White House, Trump said, “is instituting an assault on the FAKE NEWS, something that has grown like Cancer in our beloved United States of America. It is corrupt, purposeful, pervasive, fully coordinated, and totally out of control.”
