Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) introduced the National Constitutional Carry Act on Thursday, a bill that would protect the right to carry legally purchased firearms without a permit nationwide.
Beyond advocating for nationwide constitutional carry, the bill would also remove state-level fees and criminal penalties for individuals carrying firearms in public. The House version of Lee’s legislation was introduced by U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY).
