Mary Louise Weller, who played Mandy Pepperidge opposite John Belushi in the classic comedy “Animal House,” has died at 79. Her longtime partner, Michael Roy Curtis, confirmed that she died on Thursday, October 1st. The actress died after an illness, one day before her 80th birthday. Her career included appearances in television favorites and a film role alongside Chuck Norris.
Weller became widely known through director John Landis’ 1978 comedy “National Lampoon’s Animal House,” which followed the unruly Delta fraternity at fictional Faber College. She played a sorority sister dating Greg Marmalard, portrayed by James Daughton, whose Omega fraternity clashed with the Deltas. The ensemble included Tim Matheson, Karen Allen, Donald Sutherland and Kevin Bacon, with Belushi playing John “Bluto” Blutarsky.
