New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has received his federal security clearance after waiting roughly nine months, clearing the way for him to participate in classified briefings on threats and emergencies affecting the nation’s largest city.
“I have my security clearance now,” Mamdani told reporters Wednesday during a news conference in Brooklyn.
