    We all saw Senate candidate Graham Platner’s angry, unapologetic victim statement after a woman came forward and said he raped her. He didn’t withdraw at that time. Instead, he said he would take the week to consider it. Jon Fetherston at the Maine Wire was on Scott Jennings’ program. He told him that the Maine Attorney General threatened to bring charges against Graham Platner if he didn’t drop out.

    “The Main Wire has, from multiple sources, that there was a call placed from the Attorney General’s Aaron Price office here in Maine to Platner that if he did not drop out, that they would bring charges against him for this sexual assault allegation, so you know, like I said yesterday, I was thinking that he was going to stay in, and then when this rumor started coming out that the AG called him and said, ‘Hey, you could be facing charges against that,’ all of a sudden it looks like they did a reversal, and he he did drop out of the race. But it begs the question: Shouldn’t he be prosecuted no matter what? “
