A Delhi executive magistrate ordered the release of Cockroach Janata Party leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka after police detained them at the airport ahead of a protest. Their release was conditioned on maintaining peace for one year. The protest called for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over alleged irregularities in the revision of voter rolls, amid a major security deployment and restrictions in the capital.
