    Financial training rarely leads someone into water treatment. Banking careers often reward stability, careful forecasting, and the disciplined management of capital. Luciano Novia spent his early professional years inside that environment, studying balance sheets and advising clients on financial services. Several years later he would leave that sector entirely and begin building companies of his own, eventually co-founding a Swiss water technology firm whose systems now address contamination, filtration, and infrastructure challenges across multiple markets.

    Luciano’s journey did not follow the traditional route into environmental technology. Academic engineering programs often produce specialists who design filtration systems or chemical processes. Luciano arrived from another direction, carrying the instincts of a business builder rather than the training of a laboratory researcher. Experience in finance taught him to examine markets closely, identify overlooked inefficiencies, and translate complex technical ideas into enterprises capable of operating internationally.
