Kennedy Center board approves new sign with Trump’s name on it

After a judge ordered the board of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to remove President Donald Trump’s name from the building, the board found a new way to place Trump’s name in a position of prominence.Since returning to the White House, Trump has pursued a number of projects to renovate and overhaul major sites in Washington, D.C., including the Kennedy Center. The board also named the facility’s opera house after first lady Melania Trump.
Instead of placing Trump’s name alongside Kennedy’s, the board opted to install a new sign below the main name that reads “Restored and Renovated by President Donald J. Trump,” The Hill reported. 
Earlier this year, a federal judge blocked the addition of Trump’s name and ordered the board to remove the signage, asserting that renaming the facility was the purview of Congress.
