A scathing report from the Department of Labor’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) has cast a harsh spotlight on former Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, detailing a pattern of conduct that the watchdog concluded was “inconsistent with applicable standards.” The Daily Caller reported that the OIG’s findings addressed six separate areas raised by an anonymous complaint, including allegations of a hostile work environment, inappropriate relationships, misuse of travel regulations, alcohol use while on duty, subordinates forced into personal tasks, and unreported gifts.
