India and Russia signed a memorandum of understanding and a letter of intent last week to collaborate on rare-earth magnet technologies, according to an announcement from Rosatom.
JSC Giredmet, a unit of Rosatom’s scientific division, signed the MoU with India’s Nexon Geochem Pvt Ltd, and a letter of intent with the Technology Innovation in Exploration & Mining Foundation (TEXMiN), officials said. The pacts are aimed at developing technologies for processing raw materials and producing permanent magnets.
