The Department of Homeland Security on Monday touted Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) latest roundup of illegal aliens with criminal convictions, highlighting the agency’s seizure of drug traffickers, pedophiles, murderers, and other criminals. The latest arrests are part of ICE’s “worst of the worst” initiative to prioritize violent and convicted offenders for arrest and deportation. Under the Trump administration, ICE and other agencies have facilitated more than 3 million deportations, either through physical removals or self-deportations.
“Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, ICE never takes a day off,” acting Assistant DHS Secretary Lauren Bis told Just the News. “This weekend, ICE arrested numerous murderers, pedophiles, sex criminals, violent assailants, drug traffickers, and fraudsters. “Thank you to our ICE law enforcement for arresting these criminals from our communities. ICE is nice.”
Topping the list on Monday was Farhan Ahmed of Pakistan, who was previously convicted of first-degree manslaughter with intent to cause serious physical injury.
Maria Silvia Martinez-Vasquez of Mexico was previously convicted of voluntary manslaughter.
