Yemen’s Houthis claimed responsibility for an attack on Saturday on Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh and oil facilities in the kingdom’s port city of Yanbu.The Houthis said they launched the strikes on targeted “sensitive sites” in Riyadh and Yanbu.
Smoke was reportedly seen at the capital’s airport.
“In response to the Saudi enemy’s criminal attempts to target the capital Sanaa… the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out two successful military operations using a large number of ballistic and cruise missiles and drones,” said Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree.
The Houthis accused Saudis of launching strikes against them inside Yemen, according to The Times of Israel.
