House and Senate Republican leaders said on Wednesday that they have a plan to fully fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and end the partial shutdown that has caused numerous air travel delays.
NBC News reports that House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) said in a statement that Republicans in the House and Senate will be “fully funding the entire Department of Homeland Security on two parallel tracks: through the appropriations process and through the reconciliation process.”
