Frontier Airlines reported a 71% increase in airfare in the third quarter as rising fuel costs were passed down to the company’s customers. The airline’s average fare revenue per passenger increased from $67.82 in the third quarter, up from $39.74 last year, CNBC reported. Including luggage and other fees, total revenue per passenger rose 30% on an annual basis to $138.22.
