A longtime friend of retired San Francisco Deputy Chief Ann Mannix says the couple’s marriage was troubled before Kevin Mannix killed her, their daughter, and himself at their Marin County home.
Ann Mannix, 65, and her 24-year-old daughter Katie were shot dead Sunday evening at the family’s residence on Strawberry Circle in Strawberry, an unincorporated community east of Mill Valley. Kevin Mannix, 68, then turned the gun on himself, according to reporting on the suspected murder-suicide.
