The U.S. Army has launched a program awarding up to $2.2 billion in combined contracts to five private energy vendors to build and operate transportable nuclear microreactors on military bases.
Just the News reports the Army announced Wednesday that its Janus Program has selected five nuclear energy companies to own, build and operate nuclear microreactors at bases in North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, Georgia and New York.
