(Austin Reed, The Center Square) Ashton Hamed Ellaboudy, the 51-year-old Richland man and Department of Energy employee accused of attempting to provide material support to the Houthis, made his first federal court appearance Friday.
Ellaboudy made his first appearance before a federal judge in downtown Richland on Friday morning following his arrest Thursday by the FBI. He faces a federal charge of attempting to provide material support or resources to the Houthis, which the U.S. government designates as a foreign terrorist organization.
