A 69-year-old military veteran is fighting for his life in intensive care after he was attacked outside his Escondido, California, home, a property blanketed in Trump signs and American flags that his wife believes made him a target.
Kerry Sheron was found lying in the street with serious injuries Wednesday afternoon around 2:15 p.m. after the assault, CBS 8 reported. Escondido police arrested 32-year-old Thomas Caleb Butler, who fled the scene but was found shortly after. Butler now faces attempted first-degree murder charges.
