Ron DeSantis and Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo to expand vaccine mandate exemptions and eliminate some mandates was part of a broader medical freedom campaign. “The effort to end vaccine mandates in Florida and every other state in the U.S. has been going on for nearly half a century,” said one advocate. “It is a marathon, not a sprint.”
