The greater Middle East has always generated spin from dozens of factions manipulating events into sympathy for their cause. Last week, the disinformation, rumor mill, and literal ghost stories told make it especially hard to separate fact from fiction. But there are plenty of factual developments on all fronts, including some taking shape very recently, that deserve covering. The fiercest fighting, and from a strategic standpoint the most important battle underway in the overall war with Iran, is being waged in the mountainous region of Yemen called Taiz.
