Federal ‘civilian’ employees have their union and that means that they have their own members of Congress. (That’s more than the general public has.) And those same members of Congress, invariably Democrats, have fought to keep government workers from having to go back to work.
Now they’re fighting for a pay raise of at least 3.8%.
