Democrat Bob Brooks has won Pennsylvania’s 7th district, ousting incumbent Republican Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, who took over the seat from a Democrat in 2024.Mackenzie was seeking a second term Tuesday night, but his hopes were dashed when the Associated Press called the race for Brooks at 10:27 p.m. ET. In 2024, President Donald Trump won the district by a slim margin of just three percentage points, while Mackenzie defeated then-incumbent Democrat Susan Wild by just one percentage point. The call was made with 80% of the vote counted.
The two candidates did not participate in a debate prior to the election after Brooks withdrew from local network WFMZ’s proposed debate. Brooks claimed he pulled out of the debate due to attacks from Mackenzie.
    This is a developing story.
