This stuff is tiresome and yet professional victimhood seems to be the only thing that Democrats can manage to run on anymore even when competing in a Democrat primary in a place as hideously racist and sexism as… Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s district in San Francisco.
The short story is that Rep. Pelosi either had some issues with the rather creepy State Sen. Scott Wiener (apparently there were rumors she wanted to slot her daughter into the family seat) or just wanted to pick a newbie she could control and backed the campaign of Connie Chan whom no one had heard of outside San Francisco and hardly anyone had heard of in San Francisco. She also has the charisma and presence of a wet sponge, looks uncomfortable wherever she is and would diminish the district’s influence.
