Here’s a term from what feels like a prior age: Believe all women. It was the height of the #MeToo movement, and all it took on social media those days was for a woman to accuse a man of anything, and his career and life were basically done. That had both good and bad elements; we had to unearth a lot of the bad at the time. But it’s pretty clear the loudest adherents to that no longer believe it.
Case in point, we have this week the campaign of Nazi-tattoo aficionado Graham Platner, who is fighting off an array of accusations from women across the state of Maine. It’s always the people you most suspect: the slovenly dressed guy always saying the Nazi tattoo he’s covering up isn’t what it appears.
