    Eating one avocado daily was associated with a lower dietary glycemic load, according to a secondary analysis of a randomized trial. The findings were reported in a study published in Current Developments in Nutrition, a peer-reviewed journal, according to the research team [1].

    The trial involved 1,008 adults with elevated waist circumference. Participants were randomly assigned to consume one large avocado each day for six months or to continue their usual diet with a limit of two avocados per month, according to the study [1].
