The recent events in Michigan should alarm every American re: the direction of the country. Haley Stevens decision to cross party lines and choose to back republican, Mike Rogers is her right as an American voter. However, the democratic backlash exposes a great flaw in the American political system where allegiance to a party appears to be more important than allegiance to the welfare of the country.
