Amazon was sued on May 15 in a class action alleging the company passed tariff costs onto consumers through higher prices on imported goods, after tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump were struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court in February.
The complaint, filed by two plaintiffs on behalf of consumers in a Seattle federal court, alleged that the company raised prices on imported goods to pass tariff costs on to consumers before the Supreme Court ruled in February that the tariffs Trump imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) were invalid.We had a problem loading this article.
