The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency unveiled a new plan Thursday aimed at helping state and local officials protect the upcoming midterm elections from cyber and physical threats.
The 13-page plan, called “Securing the Next 250,” marks CISA’s first publicly announced election security action since President Donald Trump returned to office. The agency is responsible for protecting critical U.S. infrastructure, including voting systems, polling locations and other election infrastructure.
