In 2025, CIA man David Rush began making requests for gold and millions of dollars in US currency. As Byron York notes, “the CIA gave it to him,” a full 303 gold bars worth $40 million, along with $2 million in US currency and 35 watches, many of the Rolex brand. Rush worked with “the highest security clearance” so the case “carries obvious national security concerns.” York wonders how could this have happened and provides part of the answer.
