MANCHESTER, England (CN) — U.S. singer Chris Brown avoided immediate jail time Monday after a British court sentenced him to eight months in prison, suspended for one year, for hitting a man over the head with a bottle in a crowded London nightclub.
Judge Tony Baumgartner handed down the sentence at Southwark Crown Court, where Brown pleaded guilty to affray over the February 2023 attack on Abraham Diaw at Tape nightclub in Mayfair.
