Former President Bill Clinton appeared in a campaign ad for Keisha Lance Bottoms, who is running for Georgia governor, on Monday. The ad appeared on the final day before Election Day and comes as the contest appears competitive. The ad showed Clinton praising Bottoms, saying “Keisha knows the importance of investing in Georgia’s future” and that “she’ll fight for every family in every corner of Georgia,” according to Politico.
All living former Democratic presidents have endorsed Bottoms, who is set to face Republican Rick Jackson on Tuesday evening. The Peach State has become a major battleground in recent years, breaking for President Joe Biden in 2020, before flipping back to President Donald Trump in 2024.
But the state has had a long streak of Republican governors, while boasting two Democratic senators since the 2020 election cycle.
