A federal judge has ordered the Department of Homeland Security to halt certain election-related field operations involving suspected U.S. citizens in nine states, placing new restrictions on federal election integrity efforts just days before the November midterm elections.
U.S. District Judge Araceli Martinez-Olguin issued the ruling this week following a lawsuit brought by the California Nurses Association and several other organizations seeking to block DHS operations connected to voter fraud investigations.
