Casey Pitts vacated three separate policies, ICE’s 2025 courthouse-arrest expansion, a related directive from the Justice Department’s Executive Office for Immigration Review, and a nationwide waiver that raised ICE’s short-term detention cap from 12 hours to 72. The order applies across the country and effectively reinstates Biden-era restrictions that limited courthouse arrests to narrow circumstances.
