Rep. Jason Smith, R-Mo., chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, sent letters to the legal counsel for three nonprofits the committee alleges have ties to the Chinese Communist Party, demanding they turn over documents related to their fiscal sponsorships involving foreign nationals or foreign entities, as well as communications with former U.S. tech mogul Neville Roy Singham. In a statement, Smith said that Singham had poured millions of dollars into The People’s Forum, BreakThrough News, and Tricontinental, which he alleged are being used to promote CCP propaganda. “They have thus far refused the Committee’s request to provide information pursuant…

NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover has officially traveled 28.10 miles—farther across another planet’s surface than any other vehicle in history. Not only that, but the six-wheeled science lab accomplished this impressive feat almost entirely autonomously and in barely a third the time it took the previous recordholder. “The original mission called for no more than 12.4 miles of driving. We’ve blown well past that,” Steven Lee, Perseverance and Curiosity project manager at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, said in a statement. Perseverance began operations on Mars on February 18, 2021, after landing in an ancient river delta selected for potential past microbial…

Yesterday, I wrote about ABC News’ appalling lack of candor and news judgment when it published a false story about the Trump sons’ investment in Anduril, the up-and-coming defense contractor revolutionizing the industry. Advertisement ABC falsely reported an “investigation” that claimed the Trump boys led a billion-dollar investment round in Anduril and have profited handsomely from Trump-approved defense contracts steered to the company. If true, it would imply the Trumps were raiding the Treasury for personal profit. ABC got just about everything wrong, but it provided a convenient news hook for other media figures and Democrats to blast the Trumps as corrupt, and…
I’ve been really impressed by the outpouring of support for Ilhan Omar from Democrats after her house was searched in an ongoing criminal investigation. The apparently unanimous verdict is that criminally investigating a member of the opposition party, no matter how much evidence there is that they committed crimes, is a threat to the democratic order. We are moving one step closer to fascism. Advertisement Statement in connection with the egregious raid on Rep. America is not running out of diesel. We are running out of cushion. U.S. refineries are producing more than 5 million barrels a day of distillate fuel, mostly diesel. Americans use roughly 3.6 to 3.8 million barrels a day. Recently, we have been exporting more than 1.3 million barrels a day, and in one week in August, exports reached a record 1.88 million barrels.Meanwhile, U.S. inventories sit at about 13 percent, or roughly 16 million barrels, below the five-year seasonal average, and refineries are running at about 97 percent of capacity. There is little room to simply make more. U.S.…
Top Republican super political action committees (PACs) pulled spending supporting Republican Reps. Tom Kean Jr. of New Jersey and Mariannette Miller-Meeks of Iowa, a source familiar confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation. The U.S. Supreme Court agreed on Tuesday to take up a major case that will decide whether a leftist nonprofit can acquire records from President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The high court revealed in its newest order list that it has added U.S. DOGE Service v. U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to its 2026 merits docket. This means that the justices have agreed to schedule the case for oral argument and will subsequently release a decision on the merits of the issues presented. The case’s origins can be traced back to early 2025, when the…

The force behind SpaceX is pouring rocket fuel into the Republican Party’s hopes to hold its congressional majority in next month’s midterm elections. Elon Musk has spent more than $276 million since July to support Republican campaigns, according to The New York Times. Musk has contributed a total of $366 million in this election cycle, topping his approximately $290 million from 2024. Political precedent shows that the party of the president in power at the time generally has an uphill battle during midterm elections. On Tuesday morning, the major broadcast networks used the milestone of three weeks until Election Day to continue delivering discouraging news to any viewer thinking of voting Republican, telling them the party’s “lagging candidates” are suffering nationwide because of a President with “poll numbers near record lows” and spent Monday night “attacking immigrants.” ABC’s Good Morning America was particularly disgusted by the Trump rally. A migrating monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) recently brought into Sweetbriar Nature Center in Smithtown on New York’s Long Island came with a unique backstory. There was only one thing left to do for the injured insect—bring him to the professionals. “Butterflies are incredibly delicate, and even handling them can cause additional damage or leave them unable to fly,” Janine Bendicksen, Sweetbriar Nature Center’s Director…
Indiana officials are asking a federal appeals court to reconsider a ruling that allows abortion activists to refer pregnant teens out of state for abortions without parental consent. It’s a decision that undercuts a pro-life state law intended to keep parents involved and effectively sends teens out of state for secret abortions. That measure barred anyone from knowingly helping an pregnant teen girl obtain an abortion without first meeting the state’s parental consent rules or…

The armed forces of Saudi Arabia confirmed armed drones attacked Riyadh on Tuesday, presumably deployed by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists of Yemen and intending to target civilians in the national capital. The drones were reportedly destroyed before they could cause any damage. Kimberly Guilfoyle officially resigned from her position as U.S. Ambassador to Greece following a string of high profile scandals. Notably, the wire transfer never occurred, and Guilfoyle’s lawyer disputes these claims. (RELATED:…
