Democrat Sen. Martin Heinrich and 14 of his Senate colleagues recently introduced a new resolution declaring their support for designating the second Monday of October, currently the federal holiday of Columbus Day, as “Indigenous Peoples’ Day.” Although the sponsors of S. Res. 900 seem very purposefully to refrain from expressly condemning Columbus Day, this resolution is anything but politically neutral, explicitly describing Western contact in the New World as resulting in “suppression, forced assimilation, and genocide of Indigenous Peoples.” And with that, S. Res. 900 gives the game away as yet another Democrat attempt to erase American culture in favor…
“The share of women in heterosexual marriages who make as much or more than their husbands has nearly tripled over the past five decades, according to the Pew Research Center,” The Washington Post notes this week. Another report from last year found that women now comprise almost half of managers in the United States, an increase of more than 50 percent from 1980, and one that is occurring across a host of professional categories. And, as was reported last month, women accounted for almost all new job hires in August. Feminists laud this as an unqualified victory in the march toward…

The newest edition of 60 Minutes on Sunday proved once again that the show has not changed much under CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, even after a media freakout over changes to the Sunday magazine show. Longtime correspondent Lesley Stahl went after Israel over settlers in the West Bank and connected her story back to the midterm elections while implying the problems in Israel would end if Democrats were elected. The Israel-bashing story came against the opinion of left-wing critics of Weiss, who have labeled her as overtly pro-Israel. A headline from far-left Zeteo from April even read, “Behind the…
This week, 250 years ago, 25 rugged individuals, some of best shots in Washington’s army, did something rarely accomplished in history and stopped an amphibious landing of thousands of troops. On the evening of October 11, 1776, some 150 vessels carrying thousands of British soldiers entered the dark turbulent waters at the entrance to the Long Island Sound. A thick fog engulfed the boats in total darkness as they navigated some of the world’s most dangerous tidal waters—Hell Gate, as the whirlpool vortex at the mouth of the East River was called. Boats spun around and crashed into each other…
Op-ed views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author. Democrats attacked President Trump’s 2017 tax cuts as a gift to billionaires. They repeated the charge when Congress made the lower individual income tax rates permanent in 2025. Their message is simple: wealthy Americans benefit while everyone else pays the price. That is a political slogan, not an accurate description of what happened. Trump’s tax cuts provided relief across income levels. Wealthy taxpayers often received larger dollar reductions simply because they paid much larger tax bills to begin with. The distinction matters. A larger dollar tax cut does not,…
The man behind one of the most significant technological revolutions of the last 50 years expressed dire warnings about the consequences of unregulated artificial intelligence during a Sunday interview on CNN. Speaking with “State of the Union” host Jake Tapper, Microsoft founder Bill Gates warned of the risks unregulated artificial intelligence (AI) — recently rebranded as “super intelligence” by President Donald Trump and other industry leaders — could pose. The concern by the tech icon follows Anthropic’s CEO, Dario Amodei, penning a Sept. 12 letter calling for a slowdown of AI development so safety and oversight efforts could catch up with…
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin told CBS News’ Margaret Brennan that body camera footage would not tell the whole story of a Thursday shooting involving immigration agents and a criminal illegal immigrant — adding that the foreign national put his own son at risk. An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent opened fire at Dominican national Oscar Belgal, 28, on Thursday, after the man alleged to have a lengthy and violent rap sheet accelerated his SUV toward multiple officers, authorities say. Mullin appeared on “Face the Nation” on Sunday to discuss the fallout over the New York City incident —…
Ex-prosecutor Jack Smith’s team got permission to monitor the phone of Donald Trump’s top aide from two federal judges openly critical of the president and did not reveal in their written request to those judges it would be secretly tracking contacts with criminal defense lawyers, according to freshly unsealed court records. The documents made public Monday by the White House Government Transparency Task Force include two applications by the former special counsel to use a pen register and a tap and trace device to monitor the incoming and outgoing calls of current White House chief of staff Susie Wiles’s phone while…
Monday may have been a government holiday but breaking news revealed that investigator with the Department of Homeland Security were on the clock as they raided the D.C.-area residence of Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D). The late-hour reaction on CNN News Central was to clutch their pearls over the raid happening so close to the midterms, and to scoff at accusations that Omar might have committed marriage or immigration fraud by allegedly marrying her brother to get him in the country. “Kate [Bolduan], we’re learning bits and pieces of what’s happening here,” announced crime and justice correspondent Katelyn Polantz. “But…

The Department of Justice (DOJ) cannot take the names of registered voters and compare them against a federal immigration database, a federal judge has ruled.U.S. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan, based in Washington, handed down an order on Oct. 9 against the department. The DOJ has been requesting lists of registered voters from states and, after obtaining them, checking them against the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements service, which contains citizenship information. When people are identified as registered to vote despite not being citizens—according to the SAVE database—the DOJ has been demanding that states remove them from voter rolls.“The challenged policy represents the…
President Donald Trump has publicly opened the Republican Party’s door to Senator John Fetterman, praising the Pennsylvania Democrat as a “great guy” and saying he would “love” to have him in the GOP. Trump’s invitation followed months of speculation about Fetterman’s political future. His breaks with fellow Democrats have involved immigration, Israel, the war in Iran, and his rejection of socialism. Fetterman remains a Democrat, but his growing popularity with Republican voters has kept questions about a possible switch alive. The exchange happened Saturday, October 10th, at Joint Base Andrews after Trump stepped off Air Force One following a rally…
Radical left-wing Michigan U.S. Senate candidate Abdulrahman El-Sayed, a Muslim, claimed in a recent debate held in the city of Grand Rapids that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is, and this is a direct quote, “terrorizing our streets.” Many conservatives and common sense Americans have pointed out the irony of someone being an adherent to the Islamic religion referring to the actions of another group of individuals “terrorizing” the streets. The moderator for the debate, which took place on October 8, 2026, was longtime political reporter and senior journalist for WOOD TV8, Rick Albin, asked, “You’ve made your position…
Florida Democratic Senate candidate Angie Nixon is defending a wall inside her Jacksonville bookstore that features Assata Shakur, the convicted murderer and Black Liberation Army member once placed on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists list. Nixon described Shakur and others on the display as “civil rights leaders” while responding to criticism of the portraits. The Democratic Socialists of America member now faces Republican Senator Ashley Moody in Florida’s U.S. Senate race. Her answer has added another controversy to a campaign already marked by her praise for Shakur. The dispute focuses on Cafe Resistance, the far-left bookstore and coffee shop Nixon…
Law enforcement agencies in Florida say they have recovered 163 missing children during a four-and-a-half day statewide operation that reached all the way across the United States and into 12 other countries, according to information shared by officials earlier this week. Attorney General James Uthmeier, along with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement also shared information about the operation. Operation Statewide Shield is the first statewide child-recovery initiative and the largest such effort in the history of the state. The children who were found ranged in age from 2 months to 17-years-old. Officials stated that many of them had been…
Radical leftist U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI), who is also a Muslim, recently participated in a debate against his GOP opponent, Mike Rogers (R-MI), where he blew an opportunity to deny receiving money from left-wing billionaire George Soros or terrorist groups, opening the door for even more speculation concerning the individuals and organizations he is beholden to. El-Sayed slammed Rogers by accusing him of stock trading during his time in Congress, claiming that he himself does not own any stock, while failing to deny that he received cash from Soros or from radical Muslim terrorists. “I’m not trying to…
President Donald Trump went completely scorched earth on incumbent Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), referring to the congressman as a loser and ripping him for staying a Democrat after receiving a presidential pardon. Trump issued a pardon for Cuellar and his wife in 2025 as they stared down the barrel of charges pertaining to bribery and money laundering. “In any event, I did the pardons, and made no deal, where a crooked politician would have, but I thought there would be a good chance that Cuellar, who was persecuted by Democrats because they didn’t like him, would have routinely gone over…
ABC News published a Pentagon-contract story about President Donald Trump’s two eldest sons, before its own report became the controversy. The Disney-owned network removed the article less than a day after publication and deleted the X post promoting it, initially offering no correction or explanation. Donald Trump Jr. and a spokesperson for 1789 Capital, where Trump Jr. is a partner, publicly attacked the reporting. ABC later published a revised version carrying an editor’s note that acknowledged multiple errors. The dispute began Wednesday, October 7th, when ABC published a report headlined, “Trump sons’ investments have won billions in Pentagon contracts since…
Mike Tyson stepped back into the spotlight Friday night, Oct. 9, to help President Donald Trump campaign against New York’s Democratic establishment. The former heavyweight champion joined Trump at a packed Syracuse rally supporting Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman, who is challenging Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul. Tyson traveled with the president aboard Air Force One before appearing onstage. His brief remarks brought one of boxing’s most recognizable figures into the GOP’s push to flip the longtime blue state. The rally was held at the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center at Oncenter, where roughly 2,500 Trump supporters gathered for a program…

The George Soros regime is kicking into high-gear to pepper the airwaves with fake news to swing the midterm election to Democrats. Courier Newsroom — a lefty fake news collective funded by Soros to the tune of at least $20 million — has been seeping into the messaging of a litany of campaign ads used by Democrat “candidates and political action committees,” according to a new report by the censorial NewsGuard, which apparently discovered that leftist disinformation operations was actually a thing. This week, the outfit reportedly “identified seven video ads for key races in Iowa, Ohio, and Alabama featuring…
Over 350 officials from the Spanish National Police and other law enforcement agencies on Sunday forcefully cleared an illegal migrant encampment in Ceuta located at the Guano esplanade. The encampment at the Guano esplanade was the last mayor illegal migrant shanty town that remained erected in Ceuta after a similar operation took place earlier this month to clear the one assembled by invading migrants at the Trampolín beach, one of the areas most affected by the massive invasion of the Spanish North African exclave. Sunday’s operation occurred just about 48 hours before the highly anticipated arrival of King Felipe VI…
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham refused to rule out reversing Brexit and rejoining the European Union without a national referendum, claiming Russian interference unduly influenced the vote to leave the bloc. The recently installed Labour prime minsiter, who came to power off the back of a Westminster insider coup and the strength of less than 25,000 votes in a special election in June, once again expressed his willingness to overturn the largest democratic exercise in British history, when 17.4 million people voted to leave the European Union in June of 2016. In an interview published over the weekend on the…

A weathered black-and-white photograph, dated 1933, helps explain why a long-running battle over a statue is personal for Nick Pirro, 86, and Anthony Ilacqua, 68.That treasured picture shows 13 men—including Pirro’s father and Ilacqua’s grandfather—standing on a barge in a canal at Brewerton, near Syracuse, New York. They were greeting 153 tons of pink granite shipped from Italy—stone that would form the pedestal and base of a community-funded monument honoring Italians’ contributions to America, starting with the Italian-born explorer Christopher Columbus.“It’s our history; it’s part of our community,” Pirro said.Ilacqua said, “Columbus is representative of the immigrants’ experience—sailing across the ocean…
By Robin Schumacher, Exclusive Columnist Monday, October 12, 2026Unsplash/Joseph Chan A while back, I wrote a post asking the question of whether we should be scared of Jesus. Many of you (along with ChatGPT) thought the answer was no.And I get it. After all, in the only passage of Scripture where Jesus describes Himself, He says: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke…

Forgotten are the crimes of the Saudi coalition during and after the Yemen War of 2015. Following the attack on the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the usual suspects emerged from the social media muck to condemn Ansarallah. “These reprehensible attacks demonstrate a blatant disregard for innocent civilian life. They must stop now,” demanded Trump’s secretary of state, Marco Rubio. Bibi Netanyahu, “on behalf of the people of Israel,” condemned the attack and declared the Zionist state “looks forward to a strong Middle East—one that stands united against threats, protects its people, and builds a future of…
Clyde Wilson makes an important distinction between nationalism and patriotism: A patriot is someone who loves his country and its people. A nationalist, on the other hand, loves government and all its powers. He worships “national glory,” “national greatness,” and myriad other governmental schemes and crimes. All nationalists who assume political office are tyrants to some degree, since they aspire to use the coercive powers of the state to regulate, control, direct, punish, brainwash, conscript, or kill the citizens whom they rule. There is a scale of tyranny, ranging from the mere welfare/warfare statist who taxes half of his citizens’…

A bipartisan group of seven senators is demanding President Donald Trump reverse his decision to allow Russian diesel imports into the United States, arguing the agreement violates federal law and provides financial support to Moscow amid its ongoing war with Ukraine. The lawmakers issued a joint statement Sunday citing a 2022 law prohibiting Russian energy imports, which Congress passed following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. “President Trump’s decision to allow Russian diesel imports to the U.S. runs directly counter to that law,” the senators said. “The Administration has also failed to consult with Congress or submit any explanation to justify its…

President Donald Trump drew the ire of lawmakers on both sides of the aisle this weekend when he struck a deal for diesel with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. Trump announced Friday, October 9, that Putin had agreed to supply millions of tons of diesel to global markets, arguing it would help drop fuel prices ahead of the midterms. The backlash was fast and fierce – and bipartisan. On Sunday, seven senators of the Foreign Relations Committee condemned the deal. A day earlier, a Republican representative in the House proposed a bill to forbid it.Trump’s Diesel Deal “It was agreed that…

Among respondents, 35 percent said they were very concerned, while another 20 percent were somewhat concerned. Meanwhile, 17 percent were not too concerned, and 20 percent were not concerned at all. American taxpayers are losing billions of dollars every year to Medicare and Medicaid fraud, according to a bombshell report by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. One of the most outrageous examples of fraud highlighted in the report involved a scammer who allegedly billed Colorado Medicaid more than $150,000 for non-emergency medical transportation services supposedly provided to a man who was already dead. The House report noted that fraud is a problem throughout the health care industry, but it’s particularly egregious when scammers take advantage of programs meant to help some of the most vulnerable Americans, including the elderly, disabled,…
Nearly a year after TikTok’s American operations were separated from Chinese parent company ByteDance, the social media giant continues relying on Chinese-developed technology and maintaining close operational ties with its former owner, raising questions about whether the deal adequately addresses national security concerns. According to a Politico investigation, TikTok USDS Joint Venture, established in January 2026, still uses ByteDance’s internal messaging platform, Lark, and an artificial intelligence assistant called Aime, also developed by the Chinese company. The continued reliance on ByteDance technology comes despite a 2024 congressional mandate requiring TikTok’s divestiture over concerns about American user data and potential Chinese…
Has the college bubble been popped? That is the question. Decades ago, students could cover tuition by working summer shifts at the nearby McDonald’s. New York Attorney General Letitia James is facing a bar ethics complaint over allegations that she compromised her impartiality as special prosecutor in a sexual assault investigation involving seven Cornell University fraternity members. The National Legal and Policy Center filed a nine-page complaint questioning whether James can conduct a fair investigation after publicly expressing support for the alleged victim shortly before being appointed to oversee the case, according to the New York Post. The watchdog group argues that James’ statements raise serious concerns about prosecutorial neutrality and could undermine public confidence in the legal proceedings. The complaint calls for James…
President Donald Trump delivered a spirited Columbus Day message Sunday, celebrating Italian Americans while condemning left-wing activists who targeted statues of Christopher Columbus during nationwide protests. In a Truth Social post ahead of Monday’s federal holiday, Trump declared that efforts to tear down monuments honoring the Italian explorer were a thing of the past. “HAPPY COLUMBUS DAY TO ALL, in particular our great Italian American Community which was forced to suffer as the Radical Left Dumocrats, Socialists, and Communists rampaged through our cities and towns ripping down almost all of the beautiful statutes of Christopher Columbus,” Trump wrote. “Well, those…

The anti-ICE media has hammered their narrative since the Thursday shooting of a criminal illegal alien in New York City. They painted the criminal and his five-year-old son in the car as the victims, and never mind the criminal ramming other vehicles. On Friday, network newscasts concentrated on calls to abolish ICE. The slanted reporting has been so blatant, DHS has called it out. On his PoliticsNation show on Saturday, longtime ambulance-chaser Rev.
