The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit on Tuesday upheld a lower court’s decision to decline to temporarily block President Donald Trump’s executive order directing federal agencies to develop new procedures related to mail voting, ruling that the legal challenge was brought too early.

“We are confident we will prevail in the end when this illegal and completely unworkable executive order is fully adjudicated,” that May statement read. “The Court’s decision does not change the longstanding principle that the Executive Branch cannot infringe on the rights of Americans to cast their ballots, including those who vote by mail, along with the authority of states to run their own elections.”We had a problem loading this article.
