Kentucky GOP Rep. Andy Barr won the Republican nomination Tuesday night for retiring Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell’s seat, defeating former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, the Associated Press reported.Barr secured 62% of the vote at the time of publishing, according to the outlet, compared to Cameron’s 28%. The race for Barr’s Democratic challenger has not yet been called.
