President Donald Trump on Monday issued endorsements for most of the sitting Republican members of Pennsylvania’s House delegation ahead of the Tuesday Republican primary.Trump issued nine separate endorsements via Truth Social, encouraging supporters to back Reps. Mike Kelly, Glenn Thompson, Guy Reschenthaler, John Joyce, Lloyd Smucker, Scott Perry, Dan Meuser, Rob Bresnahan, and Ryan Mackenzie.
Each lawmaker, Trump said, “has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election.” Trump notably did not endorse Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., who represents a competitive district and has a longstanding moderate streak.
The Republican primary is set for Tuesday and there are few races in the state expected to be competitive. Also on Tuesday is the Kentucky GOP primary, where Trump has endorsed Republican Ed Gallrein in a primary against Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky.
That contest has evolved into the most expensive House primary in history, with pro-Israel groups pouring money into efforts to unseat the Israel-critical Massie.
