Reform UK leader Nigel Farage on Wednesday revealed that he had been targeted in a bombing attack in 2025, with an unknown perpetrator placing a bomb in his mailbox.“It was an outright arson attempt. I wasn’t at home at the time, but when I came back and opened the door I found the damage,” he told the Telegraph. “Luckily it had burned itself out in the porch, and we think maybe the perpetrators were disturbed in the act. The police were all over it. They did their best but there are no suspects so far.”
Farage’s party is currently leading the polls for the next UK general election. Formerly regarded as a fringe politician, he has slowly moved into the mainstream since the success of the 2016 Brexit campaign.
He has previously been the subject of less severe attacks. Farage told the outlet he had declined to publicize the attack last year because it would force him to increase his security.
