A federal appeals court sided with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Tuesday, upholding the Trump administration’s exclusion of transgenders from military service.
The 2-1 ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit reversed a previous injunction issued by Biden-appointed U.S. District Court Judge Ana Reyes, who had blocked the implementation of President Donald Trump’s executive order banning persons “who express a false gender identity divergent from their sex” from military service.
“A man’s assertion that he is a woman, and his requirement that others honor this falsehood, is not consistent with the humility and selflessness required of a service member,” the E/O stated.
