    Newly released diary entries from Dr. Anthony Fauci reveal that Israeli real-world data heavily influenced the Biden administration’s decision to recommend COVID-19 booster shots, months before comparable U.S. data existed.
    Fauci’s private writings confirm that U.S. officials were aware of waning vaccine efficacy against infection and severe disease among the fully vaccinated as early as July 2021.
    The diary shows Fauci believed the administration’s public messaging on the eight-month booster interval was inaccurate, noting the timeline was driven by logistics, not science.
    Senator Rand Paul released the documents ahead of a Senate hearing where Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment rights over 100 times, declining to answer questions about his pandemic decisions.
    A separate review of the diary indicates that Fauci’s private stances on lab leak origins, school closures and masks largely aligned with his public statements, contradicting claims of a deliberate cover-up on those issues.
