The White House on Monday touted the results of a poll showing strong support for the Iran peace agreement, which comes amid the resumption of active hostilities with Tehran.”TRUST IN TRUMP: Voters Overwhelmingly Support Iran Peace Deal,” the White House posted on X. The post included the top line results of a Big Data Poll showing 60.4% support among registered voters for the now-defunct agreement.
A further 23.7% opposed the deal while 15.9% were unsure.
The decision to highlight the agreement’s popularity is a curious decision given the return of active fighting in recent weeks. Trump has long sought an agreement with Iran to end the conflict, though the Iranian regime has been unwilling to make the concessions that Trump demands.
Also on Monday, the Houthis in Yemen announced a naval blockade of Saudi Arabia in an apparent escalation of the conflict.
