U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested over 400 criminal undocumented immigrants in Minnesota during Operation Metro Surge, targeting serious offenders, including convicted sex predators, rapists, and violent criminals protected by local sanctuary policies.
Reacting to this news, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin criticized Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey for endangering residents. Examples include individuals from Laos, Burma, Somalia, Mexico, and Ecuador with convictions for child sexual conduct, rape, robbery, and assault. As part of the push, DHS launched a “Worst of the Worst” database to publicize such arrests nationwide.
