In an absolutely bizarre and headache-inducing incident out of Minnesota in mid-December, a Democratic state senator tearfully apologized to Somali migrants in the state after they had been accused of committing billions upon billions of dollars of fraud, stealing taxpayer funds at a massive scale.
As background, the Somali community in the state is accused of having pilfered welfare programs funded by state and local taxpayers, such as the Feeding Our Future program, which provided meals to needy kids, and a program meant to help parents of autistic teenagers. The fraud appears to have been mainly committed by the Somali migrants.
