President Donald Trump delivers remarks Friday afternoon on his energy agenda in Corpus Christi, Texas, ahead of the state’s primaries next week. The president has not endorsed a candidate in the Republican primary for Senate so far and has indicated that he does not plan to because all three major candidates are loyal supporters. GOP Sen. John Cornyn is running for reelection against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and GOP Rep. Wesley Hunt.
Energy Secretary Chris Wright is also expected to attend Trump’s speech Friday, which will take place at a cargo dock at the Port of Corpus Christi, which is a major hub for U.S. energy exports.
Trump’s speech is expected to begin at 3:35 p.m. local time, or 4:35 Eastern. You can watch his remarks here.
