Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is now being investigated after lawmakers have grown suspicious of her family’s ever-expanding bank accounts as fraud scandals connected to the Somali community continue to be uncovered in her home state of Minnesota. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) recently told reporters with the New York Post that staff lawyers are thinking about subpoenaing Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, concerning his business practices.
Comer, speaking with the press, promised that he and the committee were dedicated to getting answers through either the Ethics Committee or the Oversight Committee, when talking about how the couple went from practically being broke to having a net worth of up to $30 million over the course of a year to two years.
