Actor Jamie Kennedy, most well-known for playing the role of horror film aficionado Randy in the Scream franchise, put anti-ICE celebrities on blast for evangelizing viewers and attendees from the red carpet at the Sundance Film Festival. Kennedy skewered his fellow thespians by urging them to actually “get on the frontlines” if they actually believe in the recycled talking points they are sharing during award events and festivals.
“If you care, you wouldn’t be in Sundance,” he said during a recent appearance on the Trying Not to Die podcast. “People are protesting ICE, and I understand the situation — but when you have actors from the red carpet of an award show, on there saying all of this stuff about ‘we’re under a fascist regime, we’re an authoritarianism…’ bro.”
