Donald Trump was not the first U.S. president to claim, “America is back,” like he did in his State of the Union address this week, when he said, “Our nation is back, bigger, better, richer, and stronger than ever before.”
It was President Biden who first famously said, “America was back,” at the Munich Security Conference in February 2021, a claim Biden often made early in his presidency.
